On Sunday April 5th, seven Galway Bay Lightning players travelled to the final, normal round of the national league in Kilkenny. There we played two exhibition games against the Kilkenny B senior team. As both teams were low on players we both accepted a number of players from other clubs to fill out the teams for the exhibition games. The Galway Bay Lightning team won both games, 3-1 and 7-1 respectively. A lot of experience was gained by the seven players who travelled and we now know the standard that is expected of us when we enter the league next season.
Thanks to Kilkenny B for playing two games against us, IHI for inviting us down and providing the time slots for the exhibition games, and the players from the other clubs who played with us.
